The mission of the Argyle Area Food Bank is to provide food and essential resources to our neighbors in need. We serve each person with dignity, compassion, and respect in a Christ-centered environment.

Since 2001, our food bank has served the Argyle community, for many years as a ministry of First Baptist Church of Argyle. When that church relocated and its property was sold, the food bank — formerly known as the Argyle Food Bank — needed both a new home and a new identity.
Argyle United Methodist Church welcomed us in with open arms, and in February 2026 we reopened as the Argyle Area Food Bank. Today we operate behind Argyle United Methodist Church on Hwy 377, carrying on the same mission of caring for our neighbors every Monday morning.
Led by president Pat Adams, our volunteers help each guest shop for and bag groceries based on their family’s needs — and every visit includes the offer of a prayer and a friendly conversation, for anyone who would like one.
