The Way: Journey To Easter

Lent is a season of reflection, a time to walk intentionally with God and with one another. This Lent at Argyle UMC, we will journey together, letting Scripture guide and shape our lives and faith.

Inspired by biblical stories of journeys and the film The Way, which follows a father walking the Camino de Santiago in honor of his son, we will reflect on what it means to live fully and faithfully.

Good Friday
Friday, April 3, 6:30 PM

This is the moment when Jesus travels the most difficult part of the human path: suffering. Whatever suffering we have experienced along our own life journeys, Jesus knows that pain. He walks it fully — not from a distance, but from within it.

And in the midst of violence, betrayal, and death, Jesus makes a surprising turn. He invites his disciples — and us — to embrace the most powerful choice we can make in navigating our lives: love, no matter what.

Join us for a reflective Good Friday service as we remember the depth of Christ’s love and the cost of that love on the cross.

Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5

The morning comes… and grief turns to fear, then astonishment, and finally joy.

The message is clear: Jesus is not dead.

On that first Easter morning, the women were given instructions to make their way to Galilee, where the risen Christ would meet the disciples. And so, we make our way as well — to encounter the risen Christ on the shores where the disciples were first called, and where we are called once again to be Christ’s risen Body, moving from death into renewed life, renewed journeys, and hope forevermore.

Join us as we celebrate the resurrection and the promise that the story is not over.

Service Times

7:00 AM – Sunrise Service, led by our youth worship band, SMAC ATTACK
8:45 AM – Traditional Worship
11:00 AM – Modern Worship

Come and meet the risen Christ. The morning has come.
