God’s Holy Spirit calls the church into being for mission. In our Wesleyan tradition, we acknowledge the Grace of God placed in our hearts and at work in the world before any action on our part. We believe ministry happens in relationships.
The whole body, joined and held together, grows and builds itself up to love, as each part does its work.
~ Ephesians 4:16
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
~ 1 John 4:7
Our Purpose Statement
We are called to an outward focused ministry that serves and cares for those in need. To serve the poor and homeless, support the elderly, address food insecurity, and embrace the beautiful diversity of our community. We practice a ministry of presence, learning to be with people rather than simply doing for them. Through authentic connection and Christ-centered love, we serve and care in ways that honor dignity, celebrate difference, and transform us all.
The Heart of Our Team
Our mission team thrives with members who embody these qualities:
❤️ Active Listeners:
You hear not just words, but hearts and stories, seeking to understand before being understood
❤️ Humble Leaders:
You model servant leadership, inspiring others through your actions rather than directing from a distance
❤️ Adaptable Learners:
You embrace change, recognizing that effective ministry requires flexibility and willingness to evolve your thinking
❤️ Self-Motivated Servants:
You see needs and take initiative without waiting to be asked, while staying collaborative
❤️ Authentic Presence:
You’re comfortable being vulnerable, real, and fully present with people from all walks of life
You don’t need to be an expert, just willing to grow, learn, and let ministry transform you as much as those you serve.
