UP ministry was founded out of an act of generosity. While helping with a school supply drive at Argyle UMC, there was an abundance of school supplies leftover along with a some extra monetary donations. As we discerned what we should do with the extras, we decided to reach out to a local school who we knew had kids who could use assistance. Upon delivering the school supplies and asking what else we could do, we learned there was a great need for more than just supplies and we knew we wanted to help. That conversation led to many other opportunities to serve. Our ministry has grown significantly since and we feel blessed to be able to help so many kids in our community. We get so much joy out of seeing the smiling faces pick out a backpack or the appreciation from a mom or dad receiving Christmas gifts for their kids. Join us in serving the kids of our community! Our Missions Team supports UP ministry by collecting, packing, and distributing weekend meal packs for their Fuel UP program, by collecting and distributing back-to-school items for their annual Gear UP program, and by collecting and distributing Christmas Gifts for their annual Angel Tree program.
