Traditional Worship

There's something powerful about singing the hymns that generations before us have sung, in a service shaped by the same liturgy that has anchored the church for centuries. Traditional Worship is reverent and unhurried — a space to slow down, reflect, and meet God in words and rhythms that have carried believers through every season of life. We gather around the Communion table together every single week, because the table is always open and we don't want anyone to miss it.
Modern Worship

Modern Worship brings the same heart of our church into a different sound — a full band, contemporary praise and worship music, and an atmosphere that feels alive and welcoming from the very first note. The liturgy is one you'll recognize from week to week, so even as the music evolves, the shape of the service stays familiar. We celebrate Communion together on the first Sunday of every month, and the table is open to everyone in the room.
Combined Worship

Every summer, we set aside "Traditional" and "Modern" and simply become one church, one room, one service. Combined Worship blends the hymns you grew up on with the praise and worship music of today, led by our modern worship band, so there's a little something for everyone in every seat. It's still built on the same traditional liturgy you know, with Communion on the first Sunday of the month — just with our whole church family together at once.
Worship Online
Life doesn't always cooperate with a Sunday morning schedule. Whether you're homebound, out of town, caring for someone who can't make it out, or just having one of those weeks, we livestream every single service, every single week, so you're never really missing it — you're simply worshiping from wherever you are. We believe worship is something we do together, and "together" shouldn't have to mean "in the building."
One Message, Every Week
Traditional, Modern, Combined, or watching from home — however you join us on a Sunday, you're hearing the very same message everyone else at Argyle UMC is hearing that week. Nothing here is pre-recorded or held back for one service and not another; the same sermon series carries every room and every screen, so wherever you are, you're never behind and never left out.

"Change is good... you go first!" Our brains were designed to be suspicious of change, and for good reason–homeostasis in good measure helps us thrive, protecting us from danger. But if we look closely at what the Creator set in motion, we find that change is actually the most constant part of life and necessary for animating our spirits as we find renewed purpose throughout life. Jesus advocated for changes that would keep us moving toward greater goodness!
